Important Reminders
 - this Friday is the last day to get your grades finalized before progress reports are processed — make sure to talk to your teachers if you need any grades changed

- October-January Scholastic Book Order due next Mon. 1/27!!! (class code to order: GTBLV)

Science 
- complete Bill Nye "Atmosphere" and "Storm" Video Questions if you did not finish it in class

- read over the My Place in a Changing World project website (the pages that are not blank); contribute helpful resources to our village (make sure you are signed into your CUSD Google account)

- fill out one row in the Research Collection Template (posted in Google Classroom) tonight after doing 5-10 minutes of research/learning; check out the project symbaloo as a starting point

- keep up with the required reading in the Energy Roundup: read/annotate Hydrogen tonight and be ready for the reading quiz

Newsela article due Mon. 1/27: Fires affect 1 billion animals (new rule: read the article and take the quiz for whichever lexile level it defaults for you; recommend/optional: read article up to the 1020L level)

- Science Notebook Check TOMORROW!!! pg. 40-70 will be checked (pages that qualify for extra credit coloring are: 41-42, 51, 63); make sure:
  • all pages (that are not guided notes) are STAMPED
  • all pages are labeled with the correct page number
  • all pages are organized and put in order

Language Arts
- in your Units of Study Information Writing Unit Google Doc, make sure to add the following:
  • learning target for Session Three (on slide 3)
  • one bullet for "Power-Learning and Note-Taking" chart (on slide 12)
  • new bookmarked section called "Chart - Moving from One Key Point to a Plan for a Logical Informational Essay" (on slides 21-22)
